Well, the idea that my flimsy CV and half-baked writing sample constitute anything that could fairly be called on competition is kinda flattering. Job-wise, I think I’m probably going to only be in the market for positions that are either screaming my name or in locations that I’d be excited to work/live. Pretty much the same with postdocs. But shit. One needs merely to consult the cashier staff at BevMo to verify that I’m pretty good at finding reasons to celebrate no matter what!
