Anonymous asked: have you ever gotten aroused sexually while reading any sort of academic text?

not to overrationalize, but i don’t think i would be doing this stuff if i didn’t get a deep, consuming, and sometimes overwhelming sense of pleasure out of it.  wittig, moten, cixous, (c.l.r.) james, this stuff gets me open.  like it’s supposed to.
