An Open Response from Tracy Oliver & Issa Rae

Filed under: eloquent not so eloquent ways of using words in order to say nothing at all whilst patting oneself on the back.  This might as well have been written by the Human Relations department at a corporate law firm.

But we didn’t make the mistake of thinking that this was a show about social justice just because it widens the scope of representation so that certain college-educated black folk can see their own sensibilities comedically reflected back to them, right?  We’re not still confusing progressive politics with niche marketing, right?
