“A Nov. 26 article in the District edition of Local Living incorrectly said a Public Enemy song declared 9/11 a joke. The song refers to 911, the emergency phone number.”

- Washington Post Corrections [see below before clicking]

Again, I’m probably late to the game on this, but did the folks at the WaPo not think that it was their journalistic responsibility to point out the fact that said Public Enemy song was released in 1990?  And does this fact not effectively redouble how ridiculous it is to suggest that “911 is a Joke” references 9/11?

Afterthought: I love that 75% of the space on the corrections page is taken up by advertisement.  Do me a favor and don’t click on the link; it may very well just encourage them.
